"Do you want to play 'England vs Ireland'?"

Hello!

I thought today wasn't going to be all that interesting. My class didn't start until 11, and it was our main professor as most of the time we just have guest lecturers that come and talk to us. I got up an hour before and made myself a nice breakfast of eggs and toast!

This picture reminds me that I need to run to the store and buy some salt, as I can't handle another day of unsalted eggs. I went to class only to discover someone had pulled the fire alarm where our class was being held, so it ended up starting fifteen minutes later then scheduled. After the first lecture, I ran down to the phone place to get me a phone. I ended up only paying 23 pounds because my little phone charger was different than the plugs here, so I also got a wall plug in! The phone, however, isn't quite working so I'm going to take it back tomorrow to see if they can fix it for me. With that taken care of, I run down to my second lecture with a delightful British man that either thinks I understand his sarcastic/dry sense of humor excellently or thinks I was rude for giggling at some of the stuff he said. Either way, it was a nice as far as lectures go.

After class I called Boyfriend and we talked for a bit. That was actually probably the highlight of my day, even with the next few paragraphs and pictures I'm going to show you. That will tell you how much Boyfriend means to me right there. 

After talking with Boyfriend, I met up with Friend Jordan and we awayed for half price ticket booth. We ended up getting off at the wrong station, and decided to walk to the square. We got a bit turned around, but found a really cool area of town with lots of little shops and cafes. When it started getting a bit later, we started looking for theatres to just see if they had any left over tickets. We passed Matilda but it was not open, so we moved on as we made our way to the ticket booth. Finally, we happen upon the Noel Coward Theatre, currently playing....Drumroll please!

 The Cripple of Inishmaan featuring Daniel Radcliffe as Billy!!! I was just in the same theatre as Harry Potter. It was fantastic! We ended up just buying tickets at the box office and ended up in our own box. Before I went away to get food, I made sure to ask the nice lady at the box office where the Stage Door was. She told me and then with a knowing smile said, "And Daniel Radcliffe is in the house." I smiled back and went to go grab food at the little sandwich place right across the street as I had skipped lunch.

I was so hungry I just grabbed it and started eating. It was a toasted ham and cheese sandwich and it was amazing! I had some salt and vinegar chips that rivaled, if not beat my favorite salt and vinegar chips from Jimmy John's. I ended up finding a seat behind the theatre while Friend Jordan took my picture for me.

 I ran to the bin across the street and got a few pictures while I was there.

We walked in a few minutes after finishing my fantastic dinner and our box is very close to the front door, which is very convenient for later. I then took a bunch of probably not technically allowed pictures but I was just so excited! Besides, I didn't see the signs until after...

The show was fantastic! It was funny and a little bit sad but mainly funny. It was about a crippled boy named Billy in Ireland in 1934. My favorite character was Helen who was the feisty Irish girl that cussed a lot and poked fun at her little brother who was probably my second favorite. Immediately after the show we rushed to the stage door and ended up in the second row. Not bad I'd say.

 We waited for about an hour, maybe a bit less. I really wanted the whole cast to sign my program, but most of them rushed off without stopping. It was a bit sad because I'd wanted to tell them what a good job they'd done but that's okay. I'm sure they know how fabulous they are. When Daniel Radcliffe came out all hell broke loose it seemed. I managed to snap a few pictures and then stick my program out enough for him to sign it. It felt like I was fishing for his autograph, and then when he signed it I felt it go down and pulled back and voila! Next are my attempted pictures.

 We might go back to try and get my ticket signed and perhaps get a picture with him, but we'll see. The walk back was full of pretty sights and sounds.

Day 07

Hello!

We're continuing on this trend of posting once a day, even if I only have seven minutes left of this one! Let us continue with my journey to  once a day blogging with......

Day 07: Do you read? What are your favorite books?

Okay, so I used to read a lot. And when I say a lot I mean a lot. I was one of those kids that couldn't be torn away from a book. I genuinely enjoyed it. As I grew older, my time for reading grew smaller and smaller as I devoted my time to silly things such as sports, and choir, and orchestra, and friends. I still enjoyed it though.

Recently Boyfriend and I have began reading more. It was his idea at first, and then I followed suit figuring that I could once again enjoy it. Now, I still don't have much time for it but I renewed my library card and I am working on reading all of John Green's books. Right now I need to finish Lucille Ball's biography and then I can continue on my journey of reading.

Some of my favorite books include:

The Green Book by Jill Paton Walsh. It's a child's book about Earth dying and a group of humans traveling on a ship to a new planet to settle. It was my favorite as a kid, and I would love to reread it again someday soon.

The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald. I actually enjoyed reading this book during my high school years. Let's not get into my opinions about the movie. We'll be here all night.

The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas. Another one I enjoyed reading in the 8th grade. I actually went out and brought my own copy after reading the school's copy, that's how much I enjoyed this one. 

The Perks of Being A Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky. This one practically speaks for itself. It's a lovely book, though I'm starting to realize a trend with small green books being on my favorites list...

The Help by Kathryn Stockett. I'm going to be honest, I saw the movie before I read the book. I loved the movie so much I knew I had to read the book, and it quickly wiggled its way onto my favorites list. 

The Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling. I grew up with these books. When I was about 7 years old, my Aunt read to me out of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone during a tornado warning. The power was out and I had an overwhelming fear of tornadoes and severe thunderstorms. (I think this stemmed from watching The Wizard of Oz early in life but I digress). I was hooked immediately into this magical world and haven't turned back since. 

I'm going to stop now, as I feel that's sufficient enough for today/yesterday.

Five Places You Want to Visit

Hello!

We're back in business. No, I don't yet have a computer. But I'm using my parents lap top...which is kind of the same thing but not really. I'm still vigorously saving for a new one before the London trip, but we'll see how it goes. I'm going to try and continue this "posting once a day" thing, however it'll probably just be the weekdays that I post. I've recently begun a vigorous new work schedule in order to make the moneys.

So without further ado:

Day 05: Five Places You Want to Visit

1. A Car Boot Sale in London.

Okay, so I've looked into a few of them, and they sound like the British version of flea markets. Some cost to get in, others don't. But I do want to go to at least 1 while I am in London. I wanted to go the the Sunbury Antique Market, but it's only open on Tuesdays so I'll have class. But it's okay! I have a list of them favorited on my lap top, so I'll look into more of them when we get there.

2. Harry Potter theme park at Universal Studios

So the books ended a while back, and the movies only ended recently, but that does not stop me from still being a big Harry Potter fan. Maybe not as much as I used to be, but I will always be one at heart. Not everything can last 50 years like Doctor Who. And so, I would like to someday visit the theme park of my childhood some day.

3. Disneyland

I openly admit that I am very much still a child in a twenty year old's body. I went to Disney World when I was in the 8th grade as a class trip and had a fantastic time! I had just found a love of roller coasters (not too scary ones, but I mean...I can handle my roller coasters) and it was a great time. I'd love to go to its counterpart in California.

4. Mexico

I'm uncertain if it's for the bragging rights or the fact that it would make fantastic jokes in the future, but at some point I feel it's a right of passage I need to make. I'm not too sure if this is me just crossing the border to say I did it (I do have a passport!) or if this means going on a fantastic cruise and seeing it that way. It just needs to happen.

5. Venice

No, not just because of the one episode called the Vampires of Venice. It would be fun! Italian. I could ride in a gondola!

Anyways, as I was typing this up I realized that I'm taking off two big parts of where I want to go with this trip i.e. London and Paris. I'd also like to someday explore both France and The United Kingdom more thoroughly then I will get to in this one month, so it's definitely going to be worth the return trip, however I feel that I should post places I haven't been or won't be going to in order to keep things fresh!
